Elderly Care

Caring companion assisting an elderly person

Your parents gave you their best years — our elderly carers help you give them back with dignity. HomeStaff elderly-care staff are companions, helpers and watchful guardians for senior parents living alone or with busy families. They manage medicines and meals, keep the house safe under their feet, share tea and conversation, and notice the small changes — a missed dose, a bruise, a low mood — that families living far away would never see.

What Our Elderly Care Staff Do

A day with an elderly carer revolves around routine and safety: morning help with bathing and dressing, breakfast per the doctor’s diet chart, medicine reminders with a written log, a short walk or exercise as advised, prayer-time assistance, companionship over TV or old stories, and evening reporting to the family on WhatsApp. Carers also accompany seniors to hospital appointments, the bazaar and family events, and keep the stairways, bathrooms and walkways clutter-free to prevent falls.

How We Verify

Elderly-care screening filters for temperament first: we interview for patience, respect and warmth, then run police clearance, identity checks and reference calls with previous senior-care families. Scenario questions cover falls, refused medication, low blood sugar and emergency contacts. We prioritise candidates experienced with dementia, stroke recovery and diabetic routines. A supervised first day and the 24-hour replacement guarantee complete the safety net.

FAQs

My father refuses help from strangers. How do you handle that?

We introduce the carer gradually — first visits with a family member present, short hours, and matching a carer who speaks your father’s language and shares his interests. Trust usually builds within the first week.

Can the carer manage dementia behaviours?

Yes — we shortlist carers with dementia experience for these cases, including routine anchoring, redirection techniques and night-wandering safety.

Will I get daily updates while I’m abroad?

Yes. Carers send daily WhatsApp updates with photos on request, and our office checks in weekly by phone.

Can the carer also cook for my parents?

Yes. Diet-chart cooking is a standard part of elderly-care duty — soft diets, diabetic plans and low-salt meals.

What happens in a medical emergency?

The carer calls the family and the listed emergency contact immediately, performs basic first aid within training, and accompanies the patient to the nearest hospital.
